Political parties allowed to establish continue applying for registration

Those who want to establish a political party apply to the Union Election Commission by stating the name of the party they wish to establish. To date, 15 groups have applied for the right to establish a party, and among them, 12 political parties are allowed to establish.
Among these 12 political parties, Peace Betterment Party, led by Phone Kyar Phoo (aka) U Nay Win Maung, applied to the Commission for registration as a political party under Rule 7 of the Registration of Political Parties within 30 days from the date of approval. To date, nine political parties out of 12 have been approved to register, and the rest of the groups that have applied for registration permits are also under scrutiny. — MNA/KTZH
