Pre-Thingyan (Myanmar New Year) sales festival 2024 to be held for 3 days

Pre-Thingyan (Myanmar New Year) Sales Festival 2024 will take place over three days at the Kanthaya Shopping Mall in North Okkalapa Township, Yangon Region, as announced by U Maung Maung Aung, Vice-President of the Union of Myanmar Bamar Ethnic Entrepreneurs Association (UMBEEA), the event organizer.
The festival is scheduled to run from 24 to 26 March at Wyndham Hotel’s Kanthaya Shopping Mall in North Okkalapa Township, Yangon Region.
“This year marks the second pre-Thingyan sales festival. The event will feature 56 stalls offering various goods for sale. Additionally, to create a festive Thingyan vibe, visitors will enjoy Thingyan music and traditional Thingyan snacks,” said U Maung Maung.
“For the three-day pre-Thingyan festival, we are offering shop space for both members and non-members,” he added.
The press conference for the 2nd Pre-Thingyan Sales Festival 2024, organized by UMBEEA, was held at UMFCCI on 16 March. — ASH/TKO
