Precautionary measures underway in Myebon Township

The preventive activities and rescue activities are being implemented by the township-level departments and social rescue groups led by the Township Natural Disaster Management Committee to conduct operations in time and systematically in case of a natural disaster in Myebon Township, Rakhine State.
There are ten villages, nine village-tracts, 1,675 households and 6,640 residents that may be affected strongly by a natural disaster and they are being moved to safe places.
Rakhine State government stored basic foodstuffs including rice, and palm oil for evacuated residents and the Township Natural Disaster Management Committee stocked 16 kinds of goods for 1,675 households. — Myint Soe (IPRD)/MKKS
