Stone-filled fences should be created along streets and in residential wards as a significant landmark to attract local and foreign travellers, said Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing at a meeting with departmental officials and town elders of PutaO Township in Kachin State at the lounge of PutaO Airport yesterday morning.
Undertaking of regional development in the use of significant characters of the region
In his discussions, the Senior General said that the PutaO region endowed with natural beauty is significant in its characters with the cold season. Such advantages can contribute to shaping the region as a tourist destination so as to develop the region. As a beautiful scene, the walls of residences are filled with stones. Hence, stone-filled fences should be created along streets and in residential wards as significant landmarks to attract local and foreign travellers. The Senior General stressed the need to arrange the beautifying tasks in society with the decoration of flowery plants.
Encouraging systematic agriculture and livestock farms
The Senior General noted that local farmers need to grow high-yield paddy strains with high eating quality. Moreover, they have to grow crops and breeding of animals suitable for the region. Feedstuffs can be produced in the region for livestock farms and waste from these farms can be made as bio-fertilizers. Products from agriculture and livestock farms can be exported to foreign countries for ensuring regional economic growth. PutaO region can grow grapefruit, tea and coffee plants for having greater progress so as to attract local and foreign travellers.
High education qualification to contribute to regional development
The Senior General stressed the need to support school-age children of the PutaO region to promote their education qualification and encourage education staff for teaching their children to be able to shape a brighter future. If so, individual education qualifications will contribute to the education promotion of the region and regional development.
