PyinOoLwin Coffee Park welcomes visitors to explore coffee knowledge centre

The Coffee Knowledge Centre at PyinOoLwin Coffee Park is now open to educate visitors about the farm-to-cup process. Here, visitors can explore both local and global coffee histories and learn about farming and production procedures.
U Min Lwin Oo, staff officer in charge of Coffee Park, stated: “Our park is open to all, free of charge. We preserve the park’s natural landscape while sharing knowledge. We typically welcome around 100 visitors on weekdays and 200 on weekends and public holidays.”
PyinOoLwin is renowned in Myanmar for its vibrant coffee production. The park boasts recreation halls, bridges over natural waterways, a bridge across the swamp, and a magnificent banyan tree that’s over 100 years old, among other picturesque scenes. Visitors can also enjoy locally produced coffee and cuisine available for purchase.
Located at the 39th Milepost along the Mandalay-Lashio highway in PyinOoLwin, Mandalay Region, the park spans 386.3 acres and is situated within the Pwaytaung coffee farm. The Department of Agriculture oversaw the park’s establishment. — ASH/NT
