SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing joins religious activities in precinct of Maravijaya Buddha Park

SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing sprinkles scented water on the Naungdawgyi Buddha image in Maravijaya Buddha Park yesterday.

Ceremonies to unveil the bronze plaque of Aggadipati Sasana Beikman, install Unnalon holy hair on faces of Buddha images and keep stone plaques in stone plaque chamber pagodas took place in the precinct of Maravijaya Buddha Park in Dekkhinathiri Township separately in Nay Pyi Taw Union Territory yesterday morning, attended by Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing.
First, the Senior General pressed the button to unveil the bronze plaque of Aggadipati Sasana Beikman.
The Senior General placed the Unnalon holy hair on the face of the Naungdawgyi Buddha image and sprinkled scented water on it.
He also installed the Unnalon holy hair on the face of the Buddha image in the Mucalinda Nagayon Pagoda chamber and the Buddha image in the Maravijaya Chamber respectively.
The Senior General sprinkled scented water on the stone plaque on which Tri Pitaka treatises were carved in Pali and Romanized languages.
The consecration of the Maravijaya Buddha image, hoisting umbrellas atop the stone plaque chamber pagodas and merit-sharing ceremony will be held on a grand scale on the full moon of Second Waso 1385 ME (Dhammacakka Day), 1 August 2023.
The ceremony was also attended by SAC Vice-Chairman Deputy Prime Minister Vice-Senior General Soe Win and wife Daw Than Than Nwe and State dignitaries. — MNA/TTA
