Some international media mentioned that the Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs held talks with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi on 9 July. In this regard, Maj-Gen Zaw Min Tun, Leader of the Information Team of the State Administration Council, made a reply as follows: –
Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Don Pramudwinai arrived in Myanmar on 9 July, Sunday. As mentioned in the international news, he met Daw Aung San Suu Kyi. Such a meeting was held between the two. The meeting took some one and a half hour. It was a meeting between them freely. By so doing, the Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs could openly talk about the topics he wanted to discuss. As it was a bilateral and free meeting, we don’t know the detailed conversations between them. Due to a clear appearance, Daw Aung San Suu Kyi is in good health. — MNA/TTA
