SAC member attends ceremony of handing over state flag to ensure success for contestants of Rakhine State

The ceremony of handing over the state flag to ensure success was held at the U Ottama Hall in Sittway yesterday morning for those who will participate in the 23rd Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition. State Administration Council Member Daw Aye Nu Sein, Rakhine State Chief Minister Dr Aung Kyaw Min, Commander of Western Command Maj-Gen Htin Latt Oo, Chief Justice Daw Wah Wah Tun of the Rakhine State High Court, state government officials, departmental personnel and contestants attended the event.
The Rakhine State chief minister in the ceremony gave a speech that talented performers from regional-level competitions were selected for central-level competitions and expected that contestants were being mindful of their health amid the COVID-19 infection and will bring success with their talents for the pride of Rakhine State.
Next, Rakhine State Government Social Affairs Minister U Aung Myo received the state flag from the chief minister and committed to achieving success. Then, performers from the Rakhine State culture troupe performed Mayeimtak choreographed group dance, followed by contestants with classical songs, modern songs, patriotic songs and solo dance.
Afterwards, SAC Member Daw Aye Nu Sein awarded contestants honourable cash prizes and posed for documentary photos with them. It is learnt that a total of 66 contestants will participate in the central-level competition of the 23rd Myanmar Traditional Cultural Performing Arts Competition. — MNA
