Myanmar men’s national football team will play against the Philippines today in the Group A match of the SEA Games men’s football tournament which is being held in Viet Nam.
Team Myanmar match will be played at 3:30 pm Myanmar Standard Time. Similarly, Indonesia will take on Timor-Leste at 6:30 pm Myanmar Standard Time.
Today’s two matches are crucial for each of the four teams, with Indonesia and Timor-Leste still looking to advance to the next round.
Myanmar beat Timor-Leste in the opening match, but will likely struggle in this match due to the Philippines’ ability.
As the Philippines drew Viet Nam in the previous match, the Myanmar team will only be able to advance to the next stage if the performance is better than in the first match.
Team Myanmar needs to win two games in a row before meeting Indonesia, and Viet Nam to have a semifinal dream.
“We will continue to watch the performance and tactics of Myanmar head coach Popov. Those who play in foreign clubs are trained in tactics, so good results can only be obtained by adapting the method,” a team Myanmar fan said.
