Sideline yellow sticker installation on City Taxi vehicles 67% completed as of 1 Dec

According to the Yangon Region Public Transport Committee (YRTC), 67 per cent of City Taxi vehicles in the Yangon Region now sport sideline yellow stickers. In an effort to distinguish these taxis from other cars, authorities have mandated the installation of yellow line stickers on all City Taxi vehicles.
As of 1 December, 9,428 out of the 14,169 city vehicles have been equipped with yellow stickers, leaving 4,741 automobiles yet to undergo the process, completing 67 per cent of the installations.
Owners of City Taxi vehicles lacking these stickers have been notified to complete the installation by 31 January 2024. Failure to comply by the end of January 2024 will result in legal action under Section 96 of the Traffic Safety and Motor Vehicle Management Law. — TWA/TKO
