Sightseeing of Taunggyi’s spectacular views offered during Tazaungdine holidays

Myanma Railways of the Ministry of Transport and Communications is running a special train for local and foreign travellers for the sightseeing of the breathtaking scenes of Taunggyi-Pawmu and Pawmu-Taunggyi railways from 25 to 27 November during Tazaungtine holidays starting at 8 am from Taunggyi Station.
The railway between Taunggyi and Pawmu is 11.41 miles apart and it takes one hour and 30 minutes. During the journey, the train will stop at Htethain Station to able to enjoy beautiful scenes around the Bawathanthaya Roundabout and it will be stopped for an hour as the train sets time to turn back to Taunggyi. The train has two upper-class carriages with a 2,000 horsepower locomotive and it will run with two upper-class carriages, two ordinary-class carriages and one guard coach. For the Taunggyi-Pawmu trip, the upper-class ticket is K2,000 per person and K2,000 for the return trip. The ordinary-class ticket is K1,000 and the return trip costs K1,000.
Train journeys will be reportedly extended depending on the number of travellers and planned to enjoy the trip in peace and relax. — MNA/TRKM
