Sitagu Cakkhudana Eye Hospital provides surgeries for 1,600 patients

The Sitagu Cakkhudana Eye Hospital (Yangon) in Dagon Myothit (North) Township is providing eye surgical treatments to 350 patients per day in the hospital’s fourth-time donation programme to treat 1,600 eye patients between 2 and 8 February.
Under the Sitagu Sayadaw’s ambitious Sitagu Cakkhudana programme, 522,730 eye patients and 100,854 eye surgical patients were treated between January 1993 and December 2019. Sitagu Sayadaw has established 37 hospitals, and more hospitals are under construction in Sagaing Region’s Pale, Khamti, and Indaw Townships, Palaw and Myeik Townships in Taninthayi Region, as well as Kume in Mandalay Region. — TWA/ TMT
