Tatmadaw members need to have smart lifestyles and high capabilities to be able to uplift the prestige of Tatmadaw: Senior General

Tatmadaw members need to read literature for widening their scope of knowledge and encourage their offspring to learn education, said Chairman of the State Administration Council Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing in a meeting with Tatmadaw members and families from Dawei Station of Coastal Region Command yesterday morning.

Efforts for enhancement of defence capability
At the meeting, the Senior General said as all countries are striving for improvement of their defence capabilities, Myanmar needs to make relentless efforts to enhance defence capability. It is necessary to upgrade the qualification of human resources and capacity of arms and equipment and to have capability and prowess suitable for the current era. All the Tatmadaw members in individuals need to take training and duties in a correct manner to improve their capability and they should always have military caution and awareness.

Having systematic lifestyles
Tatmadaw has fulfilled the needs of military personnel in individuals to have an appropriate lifestyle in conformity with their designations. Hence, they have to systematically enjoy deserved rights and entitlements. They have to adjust income and outcome for their expenditures and avoid undesirable expenses.

Emphasizing the education
Tatmadaw members need to read literature for widening their scope of knowledge and encourage their offspring to learn education. They have to give the legacy of education to their offspring and encourage their children to have higher education qualifications than them. Tatmadaw members need to have smart lifestyles and high capabilities to be able to uplift the prestige of Tatmadaw.

Giving foodstuffs and cash awards
The Senior General presented foodstuffs for Tatmadaw members and families to an official of the station and the wife of the Senior General, the cash award for the station maternal and child welfare association to the wife of the commander of the local military division.
The Senior General, wife and party individually comforted officers, other ranks and families receiving medical treatments at the local military hospital in Dawei and presented foodstuffs.
On the evening of 3 November, the Senior General, wife and party paid homage to Lawkamarazein Buddha Image of Shwetaungsar Pagoda in Dawei and presented cash donations to members of the pagoda board of trustees for the all-round renovation of the pagoda.—MNA
