Thai Ambassador calls on MoHT Union Minister

Union Minister Dr Thet Thet Khine receives the Thai ambassador yesterday.

Union Minister for Hotels and Tourism Dr Thet Thet Khine received Ambassador of Thailand to Myanmar Mr Mongkol Visitstump at the parlour of the ministry in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.
They discussed matters relating to Myanmar-Thailand tourism cooperation and tourism promotion, including marine tourism and cross-border tourism, easy and smooth access for tourists from the two countries, the signing of the memorandum of understanding on tourism cooperation between the tourism ministries of the two countries, formation of tourism cooperation working group composed of Myanmar-Thailand government-private representatives, arrangement of familiarization trips, inviting investors from Thailand in Myanmar’s hotels and tourism sector, mutual engagement of private entrepreneurs in the economic sector between the two countries, expansion of itineraries for foreign tourists visiting Thailand to visit Myanmar, facilitating the spending of Thai tourists visiting Myanmar and enhancing bilateral government-private cooperation. — MNA/TS
