Traffickers sentenced to jail for human trafficking

The Pakokku District Court sentenced two people to eleven years imprisonment each with labour for their role in trafficking two girls to be prostitutes.
Victims Ma …, aged 30, and Ma …, aged 26 from Mawlaik Township of Sagaing Region were forced to be prostitutes by Naing Win Htay, Ma Moe Thae Phyu (aka) Moe Moe (aka) Ei Thandar Moe and they exploited the money of the victims.
The traffickers were prosecuted at the Pakokku Myoma police station under Sections 25/32 of the Anti-Trafficking in Persons Law. — MNA
