Two local companies licensed for EV, motorcycle production

The Directorate of Investment and Company Administration permitted two companies with K31.4 billion total investment for the production of electric vehicles and motorcycles.
They are both locally owned companies, with one additional local EV company and one electric motorcycle company awaiting licences, according to the Myanmar Investment Committee.
The National-level Leading Committee on Development of Electric Vehicles and Related Businesses analyzes the businesses and hands its findings over to the Myanmar Investment Committee, which verifies them, and issues licences in line with relevant laws and by-laws.The National-level Leading Committee on Development of the Electric Vehicle and Related Businesses has granted licences to 83 companies for EVs and related ventures. Additionally, it will consider import licenses for any companies that meet the necessary criteria, allowing electric vehicle (EV) importers to operate brand showrooms since 1 February to sell their products.
The licensed companies include Amazing Auto, Aunggaba Motor, Auto Top Power, Myanmar Brilliance, Yaungnioo, Super Seven Stars, Dongfeng Motor, and Htet Waiyan Hein Company. — TWA/NT
