Union Construction Minister U Myo Thant delivers a video keynote speech at China-ASEAN Construction Cooperation and Development Forum and High Quality Living Environment Exhibition which were held in Nanning of China from 25 to 27 November.

The China-ASEAN Construction Cooperation and Development Forum and High Quality Living Environment Exhibition were held in Nanning of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the People’s Republic of China from 25 to 27 November.
Union Minister for Construction U Myo Thant delivered a video keynote speech during the event.
The Union Minister said that by holding this forum, ASEAN-China strategic partnership for peace and prosperity will be implemented to ensure mutual benefit for the ASEAN-China community.
It is a special opportunity for experts and leaders from various sectors in each country to share their experiences and interact with each other regarding the development of the construction sector in order to develop a society with a high standard of living.
By exchanging information such as the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, it is necessary to have the opportunity to participate in a closer China-ASEAN community and enjoy more learning opportunities for rural-urban and housing development issues, construction activities with less carbon emission, economic and social development. This forum will be very helpful in improving Myanmar’s construction sector and building sustainable communities, he said.
He said that Myanmar is willing to work together with the People’s Republic of China and all ASEAN member countries to create a better and brighter society.
Participants will discuss the RCEP policies and opportunities, construction based Internet Public Safety Technology and Urban Safety Smart Infrastructure service, digital construction and building improvement, balance of carbon production and carbon absorption in the construction industry. —MNA
