Union Minister for Information U Maung Maung Ohn, accompanied by Deputy Minister U Ye Tint and relevant officials of working committees and subcommittees, yesterday inspected preparatory work for the 2023 Myanmar Film Academy Awards event at the Myanmar International Convention Centre I (MICC I) in Nay Pyi Taw.
The Union minister and party first observed the archway, red carpet, reception plans and interview programmes, entertainment, awarding procedures and installation of lighting and sound systems.
They also warmly met receptionists who will bring academy statues to the stage for recipient artistes.
The 2023 Myanmar Film Academy Awards event is set to be celebrated on a grand scale on 3 February at MICC I in Nay Pyi Taw. Over 1,000 artistes and moviemakers will reportedly attend the event, and the best artistes, cinematographers and technicians will be selected from the movies screened in 2023. — MNA/KTZH
