Union Ministers appreciate display of parade vehicles

A fleet of parade vehicles which joined the Diamond Jubilee Union Day Ceremony from Nay Pyi Taw Council, the regions and states were parked at Tabaung ground in front of the Uppatasanti Pagoda in Nay Pyi Taw and the Union Ministers observed and showed appreciations to the floats yesterday evening.
Union Minister U Maung Maung Ohn for Information and wife, Union Minister U Saw Tun Aung Myint for Ethnic Affairs, Nay Pyi Taw Council’s chair Dr Maung Maung Naing, Deputy Minister U Ye Tint for Information and Deputy Minister U Zaw Aye Maung for Ethnic Affairs and Nay Pyi Taw Council members walked around and applauded the traditional dance performances on the decorated vehciles.
Kachin State ethnic delegates performed traditional dance and Union ministers, deputy ministers, Kachin State Chief Minister U Khet Htein Nan and the Nay Pyi Taw Council members enjoyed and participated in it.
The Union Minister also inspected the ethnic food fair from the regions and states.
The parade vehicles in honour of the 75th Union Day displayed the culture, tradition, customs and local products of the ethnic people to raise the awareness of national integration and cultural values. The youth, government personnel and families and the local residents paid attention to it carefully and appreciated.
Additionally, the ethnic food fair, one-stop service place to enjoy the local food of the ethnic people across the State, is another attraction for the visitors.
The display of the decorated vehicles and ethnic food fair are available between 8 am and 8 pm until 15 February.—MNA
