Beach and other attractions to visit on Goyangyi island.

The visitor arrival has begun larger in Goyangyi Island, especially since this month, increasing job opportunities for local tour guides.
People who visited the ancient Mawtinsun Pagoda Festival, which is in progress during the month, also went to visit Goyangyi on their return, and some visitors came to the island in order to escape from the summer’s heat.
“As there are many visitors on the island, local tour guides have enjoyed better job opportunities. Some came to visit Goyangyi during their trip to Mawtinsun. Some came straight to Goyangyi for relaxation. The number of visitors has increased more than before. Visitors are from Yangon as well as from other regions and states,” said a resident.
A man who visited Goyangyi said that despite inconvenient travel, Goyangyi has a beach that provides an environment of peace and tranquillity for relaxation.
“However, the journey to Goyangyi made me exhausted due to far distance and bumpy road, but it is a very peaceful island where big rocks and coral reefs are located, and the water is crystal clear,” said Win Ko Ko, who visited the island in early March.
There are enquiries about the journey and hotel reservations for visiting Goyangyi from Yangon during the Thingyan holidays. — MT/ZS
