Yangon mayor inspects preventive measures of flooding in Shwepyitha Township

Yangon Region Development Minister and Yangon Mayor U Bo Htay inspected the construction of the staff housing of the Election Sub-Commission Office at the corner of Thiri Mingala circular road and Ngwe street in Ward 5 of Shwepyitha Township yesterday morning.
Next, the Mayor viewed the dredging of the water collection tank with the use of excavator in the housing compound and the clearing of Tamway Creek for prevention of flooding.
Afterwards, he inspected paving of concrete for expansion of Pale Road in Insein Township and instructed officials to ensure safety at work and meet the set standards. The Mayor observed dredging in Aungtheikdi Creek, which flows through the Signals Unit in Sawbwagyigon Ward, Insein Township and clearing of rubbish and silt in the same creek along Mindhamma Road in Ward 4.—MNA
