Yangon Mayor’s Maha Thingyan Pavilion to temporarily close surrounding roads during festival

Roads around Yangon Mayor’s Maha Thingyan Pavilion will be temporarily closed during Thingyan, announced by the Yangon Region government.
During the Myanmar Thingyan Festival, which is going to be celebrated from 13 to 16 April 2024, along with water splashing, Thingyan traditional Yein dance (choral dance) will entertain at the Yangon Mayor’s Maha Thingyan Pavilion located at the front of Yangon City Hall.
During the water festival, Maha Bandoola Road will be closed from Sule Pagoda Road to Pansodan Road, and Sule Pagoda Road will be closed from Anawrahta Road to Merchant Road from 7 am to 6 pm; therefore, traffic needs to use other roads during that time, the regional government has announced. – TWA/ZS
