YRIC approves 2 JV investment projects creating 461 jobs

U Myo Khaing Oo, Director of the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration (Yangon Region), reported that the Yangon Region Investment Committee had approved two joint venture investment projects with a total capital amount of US$619,000 in September.
These projects, which include a garment enterprise and an Adhesive Resin enterprise using the CMP system, are expected to create a total of 461 employment opportunities for the local workforce.
U Myo Khaing Oo stated, ‘The Yangon Region Investment Committee meeting for September 2023, held at the Yangon Region Investment Committee office on 27 September, approved these two Joint Venture Investment projects with a total capital amount of US$619,000, aiming to generate 461 local job opportunities.’
Furthermore, the Yangon Region Investment Committee increased investment amounts for existing businesses, including new investment projects, in July. This expansion allowed for an increase in the number of employees in the workforce, as approvals for Myanmar citizen investment and foreign investment were granted monthly as per procedures to create new employment opportunities. — ASH/MKKS
