50-km Endurance Equestrian Contest to kick-start in Nay Pyi Taw

The 50-kilometre Endurance Equestrian Contest organized by the Myanmar Equestrian Federation will be held in Nay Pyi Taw on 20 August.
“The category included in this competition is an international equestrian sport. It is a qualification test to compete in the XXXIII SEA Games. The sport will be included in the Southeast Asian Games to be held by Thailand. Therefore, according to the World Equestrian Federation’s methodology, the competition is defined as (One Star). To get the One Star level, all of them have to compete four times. This is the first time.
“It will be 50 kilometres long. The rules of the race are to ride twice between 50 km and 80 km. Between the next 80 km and 100 km long routes, horsemen have to ride twice. The rider who completes all four times will be recognized the One Star level. Then that player has the right to enter the international competition,” said U Htay Kyaw, general secretary of the Myanmar Equestrian Federation. Horsemen from Meiktila and Bagan of Mandalay Region, and Yangon Region and 23 other players will compete in the tourney. — Bala Soe/KZL
