Kachin, Ayeyawady see investment approval, including solar power distribution

According to the Directorate of Investment and Company Administration, three joint venture foreign investment businesses and three citizen-owned investment businesses, including one solar power generation and distribution business in Kachin State and Ayeyawady Region, were approved in July.
In Kachin State, macadamia and passion fruit production and two rubber production and sales operations were allowed to operate in July. These two businesses are joint ventures with foreign investment and will be able to provide employment opportunities to 1,067 workers in Kachin State. Kachin State Investment Committee meeting 3/2023 approved the two aforementioned projects to be carried out by foreign joint venture investment in Kachin State.
Similarly, Ayeyawady Region Investment Committee approved one rice production, storage, sales and export business to be carried out by joint venture foreign investment, one electricity generation, transmission and distribution business using solar energy that is solely related to the Myanmar investment and two rice milling and exporting businesses totalling four businesses in July.
The aforementioned businesses in the Ayeyawady Region were approved by the 3/2023 meeting of the Ayeyawady Region Investment Committee. — ASH/KZL
