MoNREC discusses situations of state-owned businesses

The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Conservation held a meeting to discuss the situations of its state-owned enterprises yesterday.
Union Minister U Khin Maung Yi explained the five objectives of meeting over scrutinizing income and expenditure, reviewing the budget, capacity balance for the staff members, preventing budget waste, and focus on the welfare of the country and people.

He also discussed the needs of disciplines, transparency, responsibility and accountability for ensuring a corporate governance, systematic plans for the success of enterprises in line with the existing laws, rules and the standard organizational procedures, knowing the targets of businesses and avoiding the conflict of interest.

The managing directors from No. 1 Mining Enterprise, No.2 Mining Enterprise, Myanmar Gems and Jewellery Enterprise, Myanmar Pearl Production and Trade Enterprise and Myanmar Timber Enterprise reported on the existing works of their enterprises.—MNA
