Tatmadaw supporters hold rally in cities

People in some areas of the country staged rallies yesterday to show their support for the ruling of Tatmadaw in line with the 2008 State Constitution.
About 0.1 million organized the demonstrations in Mingala Taungnyunt Township, in front of Yangon Railway Station, Kungyan road to Alanpyaphaya Road, circular round-about near Sule Pagoda; about 5,000 in Taunggyi Township (Shan east); 1,000 in Myanaung and Ngapudaw townships of Ayeyawady region; 1,500 in Taungup township in Rakhine State; 1,300 at Thuwunnawadi and Thanphuzayat townships in Mon State; 1,400 in Kyunsu township of Taninthayi Region.

They shouted their slogans in supporting the Tatmadaw that safeguards the nationals and Sasana while holding posters depicting, ‘We Stand With Our Defence Services’ ‘We Want Democracy’, We Stand With State Administration Council’, etc.

The Tatmadaw supporters have staged 188 demonstrations, including mass talks, street rally and going around in vehicles after the General Election on 8 November 2020.—MNA
