Solar water supply system completely implemented in Magway

The Implementation of the solar water supply system started in the second week of March, with the contribution of the villagers and the interest income from the Myaseinyaung Village Project, Department of Rural Development, has now 100 per cent completed in Phayarkonesu ward, Nyaungpinthar village, Magway Township, Magway Region, according to the Magway Township Department of Rural Development.

In order to supply water directly to the houses in Nyaungpinthar village, the Department of Disaster Management carried out drilling of boreholes and construction of brick ponds in 2017, and the villagers had to get water on their own.

At present, Mega Global Green Automation Company has been implementing the solar water supply system with Myaseinyaung village project interest income 3 million kyats and the villagers’ contribution 7 million kyats, and the project has been completed 100 per cent, said Daw Tin Tin Soe, Township Director, Department of Rural Development, Magway Township.

In addition, in 2020-2021 FY, the Department of Rural Development has been implementing a water supply system to the prioritized 20 villages that received drinking water due to scarcity of water almost every year, with a total of 305.71 million kyats from the Department of Rural Development Permit Fund and Magway Regional Fund. —Than Lwin (Magway)
