Coordination meeting on development projects supported by European Union held

The MIFER deputy minister presides over the coordination meeting on development projects aided by the EU.

U Than Aung Kyaw, Deputy Minister for the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations presided over a coordination meeting with the respective ministries and organizations on the development projects being implemented with the assistance of the European Union.
The meeting was held at the office of the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations, and the senior officials from respective ministries and organizations reported on the recent progress of each project and the status of project implementation constraints as well as the matter need to be negotiated with the European Union. Afterwards, the Deputy Minister underscored on the importance of information exchange and urged to update over the implementation constraints to the respective development partners including to explore possible options for the national priority projects. He also added that the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations would facilitate for the matters that need to be consulted between the relevant ministries and development partners. The totally 25 representatives from the relevant ministries and organizations participated in the meeting. The Coordination Meeting on the projects funded by French (AFD) and the Federal Republic of Germany was also held on 31 March 2021.—MNA
