Construction Minister U Shwe Lay inspects road, bridge construction in Rakhine State

Union Minister for Construction U Shwe Lay made an inspection tour of the road and bridge construction and maintenance works in Rakhine State on 9 April.
Along with Rakhine State Administration Council Member Col Min Than and department officials, the Union Minister inspected the Thandwe-Gwa-Ngathainggyoung upgrade work and completion of Kyaukpazat bridge (300-foot-long) construction in the morning.
The Union Minister and party arrived at the Yadana Myaing-Yay Kyaw rural road paving in Gwa township, Thandwe District and urged officials to pay attention to the concrete pavement quality during the inspection.
They also inspected the construction of the Gwa Creek bridge, the 1,399-foot-long bridge with 24 feet wide and 3.6 feet on each side of the sidewalk, located on the beach road connecting Ayeyawady Region and Rakhine State. At present, about 69 per cent of the construction has been completed. Efforts are also being made to finish the construction work on time. — MNA
