Water supply project to 34 villages in MraukU completed by 85%

With the fund of the Rakhine State Administration Council in 2020-2021 FY, the home water supply project to 34 villages in MruakU Township has been completed by 85 per cent.
A team led by Assistant Director (Technical) for the Department of Rural Development U Tun Yan Naing Thu is conducting field inspections to complete the project meeting set standards on time before the coming fiscal year, according to a departmental officer.
Hsan Myintmo Aung Company, Libra-92 Company and Scarlet Company, which won the tender, have been implementing the project of dredging the earthen lakes, fencing, life straw water purification system and home water supply in 34 villages in the township.
When completed, a total of 33,767 villagers from 6,879 houses, that usually faced a shortage of drinking water in summer, will be able to access safe and clean drinking water. —Tin Win/GNLM
