Tatmadaw provides COVID-19 protective equipment, oxygen tanks

Tatmadaw medical team, healthcare workers and civil society organizations are working together for the COVID-19-positive patients in the military hospitals, public hospitals, healthcare departments and COVID centres since the third wave of COVID-19 was increasing.
In doing so, Tatmadaw members have been donating the disease prevention, control and treatment equipment and oxygen tanks and foods to the hospitals.
From 1 July to yesterday, Commanders from the respective military commands have donated 991 oxygen tanks, 308,362 surgical masks, 960 sets of PPE, 509 hand gel bottles, 150 face shields, four buckets of hand wash, 800 surgical gloves, 500 hair covers, with petrol, foods and cash assistance.
In addition, donors are also providing medical equipment related to the disease, X-Ray machines, nutritious foods and cash assistance to the Tatmadaw’s COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment activities. It is reported that donors are also given certificates of honours for their contribution. — MNA
