3-day training on promotion procedures conducted

The Ministry of Industry conducted a virtual training on promotion procedures for the ministry and organizations on 2 August.
The opening ceremony was attended by Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than, Deputy Minister U Ko Ko Lwin, Permanent Secretary of UCSB U Khin Maung Win and other departmental officials.
Firstly, the Union Minister briefed the aim of the training course to conduct qualifying processes in accordance with the Civil Service Personnel Law, Rules and procedures to select or promote the qualified staff for the ministry. He also said an accurate assessment can be made only by knowing the promotion rules and procedures of the Civil Service Personnel Law. It needs to emphasize the promotion related matters of the staff without harming the staff and conduct transparently for staff affairs regardless of who the person may be.
Then, the Permanent Secretary U Khin Maung Win explained the promotion processes of staff and replied to the questions raised by the trainees.
A total of 50 staff officers of the Ministry of Industry joined the three-day course from 2 to 4 August. — MNA
