Mandalay factory workers vaccinated against COVID-19

The factory workers in Aungmyethazan Township of Mandalay Region received COVID-19 vaccines yesterday.
The health workers vaccinated a total of 550 people at respective five vaccination gathering points in accordance with the COVID-19 health rules.
U Than Oo, responsible person of Amarahtani Ward Administration office said, “The vaccination process has been started here for 10 days. We vaccinated about 60 people per day and currently more than 1,000 people have received vaccines. Many people come here to get vaccinated due to the rapid spread of disease.
The volunteers pick up the senior citizens who cannot come here for vaccines. The people should wash their hands frequently and avoid mass gatherings. The ward administrative officials always conduct the educative programmes.”
U Win Ko Ko, a factory worker said, “We, the factory workers are satisfied with the vaccination process. All the workers come here.
‘‘We did not get much pain for the shot. I want to urge the people to get vaccinated and stay in accordance with the COVID-19 health rules.”
Moreover, another factory worker Daw Khin Thein Oo said, “I am waiting for the vaccines for a long time. Now, I have received the vaccine and I want to thank all the officials and health workers for their help. I feel safe after vaccinating. I’d like to invite remaining people to receive vaccines with trust.”
Before the vaccination, the health workers check the body temperature, blood pressure and blood oxygen level and vaccinate those who are in normal condition.
Moreover, the officials arrange the halls for the people to take a 30 minutes rest after vaccination and prepare the necessary health care services in case of sudden illness.—Maung Aye Chan/GNLM
