Honorary dinner held to praise security forces for quick arrest of AYA bank robbers in Bago

The Bago Region Chief Minister presents cash rewards and the certificate of honour to the security forces.

A dinner in honour of the security forces who managed to identify and arrest the perpetrators of the Ayeyawady Bank (AYA Bank) robbery within 9 hours was held at Bago City Hall on 15 September.
Bago Region Chief Minister U Myo Swe Win praised the members of Tatmadaw, military affairs security forces from the Southern Command, and members of the Bago Region Police Force, who worked tirelessly to identify and arrest the robbers of AYA Bank’s vehicle in Bago within 9 hours.
The Chief Minister presented a certificate of honour with K4.5 million to the Tatmadaw members and a certificate of honour with K2 million to the military affairs security forces from the Southern Command respectively. Commander of the Southern Command Brig-Gen Htein Win presented K3.5 million with a certificate of honour to the members of the Bago Region Police Force. The Police Lieutenant Colonel of the Bago District Police Force expressed words of thanks on behalf of the honoured members.
A Hiace carrying about K4 billion was robbed by the PDF terrorist groups near Milestone No. (25/5) on Mandalay-Yangon Highway, Buleinn village-tract in Bago Township on the afternoon of 13 September, and due to the cooperation of responsible citizens and the security forces, the perpetrators were arrested within 9 hours, it is reported. — MNA
