Local people get 1st dose of COVID jab in Kamamoung

A total of 600 local people, who are above 18-year-olds received the first doses of Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines in Kamamoung, Papun District, Kayin State yesterday.
Healthcare officials conducted the vaccination programme at the Township Administrator Office meeting hall and No.1 Primary School in the township. During the vaccination, education staff, officials and Red Cross members made records for the vaccinated people. Next, officials measured the body temperature, blood pressure and monitoring oxygen level before the vaccination.
Vaccines were given systematically to the local people, and only those with normal health conditions are vaccinated, officials said. The first dose (second batch) of Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines were given to 1,300 people in Kamamoung on 27 September. The second batch of 1,900 people will be vaccinated for the first time after the first batch of 600 people were vaccinated, said Township Administrator U Than Kyaw Thu. — Lin Thant (IPRD)/GNLM
