MoC conducts daily import processes for anti-COVID-19 equipment

The Ministry of Commerce is making efforts to ensure people have access to the essential medical supplies that are critical to the COVID-19 prevention, control and treatment activities, including liquid oxygen and oxygen cylinders, by arranging continuous importation through trading posts, international airports and seaports with the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Anti-COVID-19 products were imported by three companies and transported using 18 vehicles.
A total of 20 tonnes of liquid oxygen carried by one bowser, 305 oxygen concentrators for home use and 11 tonnes of masks were imported via the Myawady and Chinshwehaw trading posts, officials said. One bowser transported liquid oxygen to Yangon via the Myawady trading zone, officials added.
Officials from the relevant departments are cooperating to facilitate and expedite the Standard Operating Procedures, including online registration for the import process.
It is reported that the Ministry of Commerce is coordinating with relevant departments, treatment of COVID-19, as well as contact persons for inquiries can be reached through the Ministry’s Website — ww.commerce.gov.mm. — MNA
