COVID-19 vaccination continues in different states, regions

Doctors and nurses from public hospitals, Tatmadaw medical corps, healthcare workers and volunteers are working hard to administer COVID-19 vaccines in different states and regions as the vaccination programme is one of the most important activities in the prevention, control and treatment of COVID-19 disease.
COVID-19 vaccine is being given daily to target groups regardless of race or religion, including Buddhist monks and nuns, local people aged over 40, students, religious leaders, prisoners, people with disabilities, ethnic armed groups, people with chronic diseases, people in IDP camps and above 12-year-old students respectively.
Doctors and nurses from public hospitals, medical corps from the Tatmadaw, relevant healthcare workers in collaboration with volunteers have already administered COVID-19 vaccines to 277 people in Hsipaw and Namhsam Townships, northern Shan State, 3,091 people in four townships of eastern Shan State, 13,686 people from 13 townships in Mon and Kayin states, 1,720 people from Pulaw and Myeik Townships in Taninthayi Region, 3,335 people from five townships in Yangon Region, 59,968 people from 26 townships in Ayeyawady Region, 6,475 people from six townships in Rakhine State and 545 people from Toungoo Township, Bago Region respectively.
Similarly, healthcare officials gave the vaccines to 2,855 students from 26 townships in Ayeyawady Region, and 34 students from Hkamti Township, Sagaing Region.
It is reported that officials from the respective regional military headquarters visited the site and coordinated the necessary work. — MNA
