MoC Union minister inspects Middle Paunglaung Bridge construction site in hydropower project area

Union Minister for Construction U Shwe Lay inspected the Middle Paunglaung Bridge construction project of the Middle Paunglaung Hydropower Project which was offered by the Department of Hydropower Implementation under the Ministry of Electricity and Energy yesterday.
The Union minister and party first arrived at the Middle Paunglaung hydropower project and inspected the water supply system and construction of the building to link with the main dam and hydropower system from the viewpoint.
Then, the officials of the department concerned reported on the location of Middle Paunglaung Bridge, data, allocated budget, completion and future work plans.
The Union Minister went to the bridge construction site and inspected the construction of A2, P3, P1 and P2 of the bridge and provided masks, fruits and other foodstuffs to the employees, staff of the hydropower project and security guards.
The Middle Paunglaung Bridge was constructed by Bridge Task Force (1) of the Bridge Department under the Ministry of Construction. The 400 feet long bridge has 27 feet and 6 inches in width and it is 1.8 metres and 2.2 metres Caisson Foundation and built of Plate Girder and R.C Girder on R.C Concrete. It has a load capacity of HS-25. Currently, the operation completes 65 per cent.
The Union minister then inspected Hlatsit Lankhwal-Hlay Khwin Taung-Khawma junction (four miles and four furlongs) which will be handed over to the Highways Department of the ministry from the Department of Hydropower Implementation of the Ministry of Electricity and Energy. — MNA
