5,000 Chinese Sinopharm vaccines donated to Bhamo Sayadaw

A donation ceremony of Sinopharm COVID-19 vaccines to Chairman of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Committee Presiding Nayaka of Bhamo Monastery Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Abhidhaja Agga Maha Saddhammajotika Dr Bhaddanta Kumara Bhivamsa Bhamo Sayadaw was held at Maha Nayaka monastery on Thiri Mingala Kaba Aye Hill yesterday.
The 5,000 units of Sinopharm vaccines were donated by Venerable Master Yin Shun, Secretary of Shenzhen Buddhist Association, Vice-President of the Buddhist Association of the South China Sea and Abbot of Hongfa Temple for the monks and nuns.
The participants of the event first took Five Precepts from Bhamo Sayadaw and sermons delivered by the monks.
Then, Daw Htay Htay Maw on behalf of Shenzhen Buddhist Association and U Aing Tun, President of Myanmar Chinese chamber of Commerce presented the aims of donation on behalf of the donor, the Shenzhen Buddhist Association, and handed over 5,000 units of vaccines to U Thein Win, Deputy Director-General of Religious Affairs Department.
Afterwards, President U Aing Tun of the Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Fu Xing Brothers Group Of Companies and his wife Agga Maha Thiri Thudamma Theingi Daw Nan Khin Nyunt donated K20 million and religious items to five State Sangha committee member monks, including Bhamo Sayadaw.
They finally shared the merits by listening to the sermons of Bhamo Sayadaw.— MNA
