All the Tatmadaw members need to read literature and encourage offspring to improve their education qualification, said State Administration Council Chairman Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services Senior General Min Aung Hlaing in meeting with officers, other ranks and families at the Coastal Region Command Headquarters and the Mawrawady Naval Region Command Headquarters yesterday afternoon.
All Tatmadaw members join the Tatmadaw to serve the State defence duties of their own accord. Hence, they all need to improve themselves to be good soldiers with loving the Tatmadaw as well as build their units, regiments and the Tatmadaw with loving the State. Being Tatmadaw members, they all must serve the duty as assigned duties. They have to dutifully serve the assignments under the orders.
The Tatmadaw arranges welfare for the Tatmadaw members for their convenience. Relevant military units also give welfare to them. The Tatmadaw members need to emphasize self-control in indulgence for avoiding too much spending of money and they have to adjust their income and expenditure. They have to participate in the unit-owned agriculture and livestock farming tasks for having success and individually manageable scale agricultural and livestock farming tasks as well. Commanders need to fulfil the needs of Tatmadaw members and families of their respective regiments and units under their control in line with entitlement and welfare ways.
With regard to education, all the Tatmadaw members need to read literature and encourage offspring to improve their educational qualifications. The Tatmadaw spends the fund on the enhancement of educational qualifications of families of the Tatmadaw members. Only when Tatmadaw members serve the duty to enable all children to learn in their assigned regions can they give educational heritage to their offspring. Likewise, they all practically do organizational tasks outside the military units to be one with the people.
