SAC member, Union ministers attend opening ceremony of Taungup University

State Administration Council Member Daw Aye Nu Sein attended the opening ceremony of Taungup University together with the Union ministers, the Rakhine state chief minister, the commander of the Western Command and departmental officials among others yesterday.
During the ceremony, relevant officials cut the ribbon to inaugurate the entrance to Taungup University, while SAC member Daw Aye Nu Sein pressed the button to open it.
Then, SAC Member Daw Aye Nu Sein said it is such a proud event to open a new university in Rakhine State and it would develop the needed human resources of the state.
Taungup township becomes a well-improved township in a short period and will gain further achievements with the cooperation of government employees, residents and experts. The teachers who were assigned in the state also should serve the duties well to produce good persons.
Union Minister Dr Nyunt Pe, SAC Advisor Dr Daw Yin Yin Nwe and Rakhine State Chief Minister Dr Aung Kyaw Min made remarks respectively and Rector of Taungup University Dr Than Htut Lwin and town elder U Kyauk Taung expressed words of thanks.
Afterwards, the Rector gave presents to SAC members and officials and the tutors, demonstrators and students presented dance performances with songs. Union Minister U Saw Tun Aung Myint and the Deputy Minister donated magazines and the SAC member and party presented cash awards to the dance troupe and took the commemorative photo.
