Diamond Jubilee Union Day celebrated in regions, states, self-administered division/zones

The Diamond Jubilee Union Day ceremonies were organized in states/regions and self-administered division/zones yesterday. The events were attended by respective region/state chief ministers, acting chief ministers, commanders of respective military commands, state/region-level departmental officials, social welfare organizations, students and locals among others.
First, the region/state chief ministers and officials saluted the National Flag, fallen heroes and soldiers and relevant officials read out the message sent by SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing to mark Diamond Jubilee Union Day.
The attendees to the events also viewed the booths displaying regional development programmes, transport, rural development, social, economy, education, health, livestock, electrification programmes in regions and states under implementation by ministries concerned and the sports competitions.
Moreover, the officials gave prizes to the students who won in sports competitions.
To mark the 75th Union Day, the roads, bridges, buildings, stadiums and departmental exhibition booths were opened, and the region/state and self-administered division/zones celebrated colourful light festivals and other funfairs in the evening. — MNA
