SAC holds New Year Paritta recitation and listening ceremony

The State Administration Council held a ceremony to listen to the Paritta recitation on the occasion of the Myanmar New Year yesterday morning in Nay Pyi Taw.
The ceremony was attended by Sayadaws and monks led by Presiding Nayaka of Pauk Myaing Monastery in Lewe, Nay Pyi Taw, Abhidhaja Maha Rattha Guru Bhaddanta Janinda, and Presiding Nayaka of Mingala Zeyon Pali Tekkatho Monastery Agga Maha Pandita Agga Maha Saddhamma Jotika Dhaja Bhaddanta Vimalabuddhi, and Secretary of the State Administration Council Lt-Gen Aung Lin Dwe, Deputy Minister U Aye Tun, permanent secretaries and directors-general and officials.
At the ceremony, the congregation received the Nine Precepts from the Presiding Nayaka Sayadaw of Pauk Myaing Monastery and listened to the sermons recited by the Sayadaws and monks. Afterwards, the SAC Secretary, the deputy minister, the permanent secretaries and the directors-general presented the monks and Sayadaws with offerings.
