Illegal teak, vehicles, and ceramic wares seized in various townships

Under the supervision of the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee, effective action is being taken to prevent illegal trade in accordance with the law.
On 4 June, the Port Inspection Team conducted an inspection at the Myanma Industrial Port Container Inspection Station under the management of the Customs Department, and confiscated the ceramic bowls at estimated value of K14.75 million that exceeds the import declaration ID and took action in accordance with the customs procedures.
Similarly, on 5 June, an unlicensed TOYOTA Hilux (Vigo) at estimated at K3 million was seized in Kanbalu Township, Sagaing Region under the supervision of the Anti-Trafficking Task Force and action is being taken under the Import and Export Law.
Similarly, under the management of the Anti-Illegal Trade Task Force, combined inspection teams led by Bago Region Forest Department conducted inspections in Pyu Township, Toungoo District, Bago Region, and 0.456 tonne of illegal teak sawn timber at estimated value of K300,960 were seized and action is being taken in accordance with the forest law.
Therefore, a total of three arrests (approximately K18,050,960) were made on 4 and 5 June, according to the Anti-Illegal Trade Steering Committee.—MNA
