Preparation of Martyrs’ Mausoleum completed for 75th Martyrs’ Day ceremony

The Engineering Department of the Yangon City Development Committee has completed the preparation of the Martyr’s Mausoleum located at the corner of West Shwegondine Road and Arzani Road in Bahan Township.
The preparation was made to make the mausoleum ready to host the upcoming (75th) Martyrs’ Day ceremony which falls on 19 July. The department started the preparatory works on 1 July and renovated the mausoleum square and the courtyard, drainage work and Graphic Board preparation, maintenance of the building connected to the mausoleum, and fence repair.
The preparation work on the mausoleum, including the painting work, is almost finished, and greening around the mausoleum, improving water flow near Thway Say Kan, and installation of lights on big trees, are ongoing. At the beginning of the work, the floor of the mausoleum was cleaned first, and the Martyrs’ Mausoleum was repainted, it is reported. — TWA/GNLM
