Over 3,000 stalls allotted at Danyingon Market Complex-2

Vendors are selling vegetables at Danyingon Market Complex-2 of YCDC.

According to the Yangon City Development Committee, there will be more than 3,000 stalls in Danyingon Market Complex-2 to allow the sales of fruits, vegetables and related products.
A total of 3,304 plots for stall were allotted for farmers’ retail shops. It will be allowed to rent and sell separately for 5 feet x 5 feet and 5 feet x 8 feet spaces.
Rental fee was set at K51,000 for a 5 feet x 5 feet stall and K72,000 a 5 feet x 8 feet stall. Vendors will be charged at K800 per stall at day time and K900 at night.
There are 1,120 stalls at Danyingon Wholesale Market Complex-1. There are two types of shop space, 5ft x 11ft and 5ft x 13ft, which will be leased soon.
As for the rent of shops that will sell fruits and vegetables, K100,000 per 5 feet x 11 feet room and K125,000 per 5 feet x 13 feet room will be charged each month. Renters can make payment for the shop once a month, and those who want to rent will be able to sign a one-year contract.
It is reported that construction of the three-storey building for shop houses on the east side of Danyingon Wholesale Market Complex-2 will finish soon. —TWA/GNLM
