10,272 monks to receive offerings in Mandalay

The previous edition of the donation ceremony for Sanghas is seen on Full Moon Day of Kason in 1384 ME.

A total of 10,272 monks will receive alms donations, including rice, foodstuffs and utensils at Laypyin Quarter, Mandalay, on Kason Full Moon Day (22 May), as stated by the Mandalay Region government.
To commemorate the arrival of the Buddhist year 2567 to 2568, the Mandalay Region government and well-wishers are holding this kind of donation ceremony with the aim of keeping the citizens safe.
They will donate various offerings to 10,272 monks in total, including 2,568 monks along 66th Street (east of the Mandalay Moat), another 2,568 monks along 26th Street (south of the Mandalay Moat), further 2,568 monks along 80th Street (west of the Mandalay Moat), 2,568 monks along 12th Street (north of the Mandalay Moat).
Devotees can donate in person, and if they want to participate in the donation, they can contact officials in advance by the end of May. — TWA/KZL
