Temporary power outages in 9 townships in southern, northern districts of Yangon

Trees and branches touching 33kV power cables connecting to southern and northern districts of Yangon will be cut and so there will be temporary power shortages in nine townships on 6 and 7 August, according to the statement of the Yangon Electricity Supply Corporation (YESC).
On 6 August, tree branches around the 33kV Kanaung-Khanaungto power lines and 33kV Hlinethaya-Kungyangon power lines connecting to the southern district of Yangon will be cut between 11 am and 2 pm.
During the operation, temporary power cuts will affect Dala, Seikkyi Khanaungto, Twantay, Kawhmu, Kungyangon, Latkhokgon, Kyaikhtaw, Ayeywa and Hlinethaya.
On 7 August, tree branches touching the 33kV Hlawka (Ba+Bb) cables connecting to the northern district will be removed from 9 am to 12 pm and so there will be temporary power outages in Insein, Mingaladon and Shwepyitha townships. — TWA/GNLM
