SAC Chair PM Senior General Min Aung Hlaing visits Mandalay Industrial Zone 1

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, accompanied by SAC Joint Secretary Lt-Gen Ye Win Oo, Union Ministers U Tin Htut Oo, U Hla Moe and Dr Charlie Than, Chief Minister of Mandalay Region U Maung Ko, Chief of the General Staff (Army, Navy and Air) General Maung Maung Aye and Central Command Commander Maj-Gen Ko Ko Oo, went on an inspection tour of the Mandalay Industrial Zone 1 yesterday morning and viewed the production activities there.
First, Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing and party visited the Bayin biscuit factory of Super Mandalay Co Ltd and U Myint Sein, the owner of the factory, and members welcomed them. Then, the Prime Minister was conducted round the factory. After hearing the explanations about the availability of raw materials and production processes, the Prime Minister asked what he wanted to know.

Next, the Prime Minister and party proceeded to Aung Naing Thu lathe and iron casting industry of Paing Phyo Myanmar company and U Aung San, the proprietor of the company, explained the availability of raw materials, production of various kinds of water pumps, spare parts for pumps and ironwork for construction. After hearing the explanations, the Prime Minister had a discussion and gave the necessary suggestions.
Afterwards, the Prime Minister and party continued the inspection tour to the Mawriya traditional medicine production industry, which was founded 160 years ago, and they were welcomed by proprietor Dr Htay Htay Khaing and employees. Then, the Prime Minister and party were conducted round the factory to be able to view the production processes. Presentations about the production were put forward with video clips. After hearing the presentations, the Prime Minister suggested that traditional medicines should be free from chemicals, and that it was necessary to maintain the quality and tradition. Next, the Prime Minister signed the visitors’ book of the Mawriya traditional medicine production industry.
The Mawriya traditional medicine production industry was established in 1862 and has been producing various kinds of traditional medicines since then. — MNA
